3D Printing by Tagwerk

Tagwerk offers a wide range of innovative lighting and decor ideas. All design objects are produced using 3D printers developed and manufactured in Germany.

Tagwerk

Unique Design

Tagwerk is the first German manufacturer to mass-produce 3D-printed products using the FDM process. The FDM process ensures significantly more favorable prices compared to the SLS process, which is commonly used in 3D printing. 3D printing creates an entirely new design language and appearance. The design can only be made with 3D printing and is therefore unique. Modern light sculptures and their features offer an interesting play of light and shadow. Complex and biomorphic structures, as well as intricate geometric surfaces, are possible.

Sustainable Organic Materials

At Tagwerk, they prioritize sustainable development and use materials made from renewable resources that can be returned to the natural or industrial cycle. Tagwerk's designs are made from organic materials free from petroleum products and toxic components. Liquid wood is lightweight, stable, resistant to rain, abrasion, and UV radiation. Modern 3D printing technologies ensure sustainable, resource-efficient production using environmentally friendly electricity and zero emissions.

Lignin and Corn Starch

Tagwerk's lights are made from natural materials sourced from renewable resources, including lignin or PLA. The primary material, lignin, is a component of wood—a natural material that is 100% biodegradable. PLA is natural corn starch, also 100% degradable and free from toxic substances. PETG is recyclable and can be reintroduced into the industrial cycle.

Zero Waste

Tagwerk's production process allows for waste-free manufacturing. Unlike milling or turning, Tagwerk's production method is one of additive manufacturing: only the material necessary for the sculptural body is used. Compared to traditional injection molding, there are no casting residues left behind. No waste—guaranteed "Zero Waste." The products are tested and CE marked.

Philosophy

Tagwerk aims to make 3D printing accessible and truly usable for producing everyday consumer goods. Until now, 3D printing has primarily been used for creating prototypes. Tagwerk's new printing technologies now allow for the economical mass production of decorative household items for the first time.
